2027 Open Enrollment
Enrollment is open October 26 through November 6, 2026. Your elections take effect January 1, 2027.
Open Enrollment is your once-a-year chance to review your benefits and make changes for the coming year. This year works differently from last year: your current coverage rolls over to 2027 automatically. You only need to enroll if you want to make a change, or if you want to contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Those elections do not roll over.
Reminder!
HSA and FSA contributions do not roll over. To contribute in 2027, elect your amount in ADP by November 6, 2026.
What Is Changing
Your coverage rolls over
Last year everyone had to enroll. For 2027, if you do nothing, your medical, dental, vision and other elections carry over as they are. Enroll in ADP only if you want to change plans, add or remove dependents, or contribute to an HSA or FSA.
Medical premiums
Medical and prescription drug premiums are going up about 3.5% for 2027. The rates below are what you pay per paycheck starting January 1, 2027. They are the same for National, Indiana Local and Dallas/Tyler, Texas plans. You pay the lower wellness rate if you (and your covered spouse) completed a preventive wellness exam by September 30, 2026. Dental, vision and voluntary benefit rates are not changing.

Higher HSA limits
The IRS limit rises to $4,500 for individual coverage and $9,000 for family coverage, plus an extra $1,000 if you are 55 or older. Dexter’s contribution stays the same: $250 individual / $500 family on the CDHP $3,500, and $500 individual / $1,000 family on the CDHP $2,000. To receive it, be contributing by January 1 for the February deposit and by July 1 for the August deposit.
Flexible Spending Accounts
FSA elections do not roll over. If you want a Health Care, Limited Purpose or Dependent Care FSA in 2027, elect it in ADP by November 6. The 2027 limits:
- Health Care FSA (PPO $850 members): up to $3,400
- Limited Purpose FSA (CDHP $3,500 and CDHP $2,000 members; dental and vision expenses only): up to $3,400
- Dependent Care FSA (all benefits-eligible employees): up to $7,500 per household, or $3,750 if married and filing separately
You can carry over up to $680 of unused Health Care or Limited Purpose FSA money into 2028. Unused Dependent Care FSA money is forfeited.
Wellness credit
Complete your annual preventive wellness exam by September 30, 2027, to earn the 2028 wellness credit: up to $900 for employee-only coverage, or up to $1,800 for employee + spouse (your covered spouse needs an exam too). Wellness exams are covered once per calendar year, so you can have one each year even if it has been less than 12 months since your last one.
National plan members: carry both ID cards
If you are on a National plan, you have two medical ID cards: one for doctors and other professional services, and one for hospital and facility services. Show both whenever you get care.
Compare plans with LivelyIQ
Lively’s decision support tool can now estimate your out-of-pocket costs under each plan, based on the care you expect to need.
Dallas and Tyler, Texas plans
If you work in Dallas or Tyler, Texas, your plans are changing for 2027. The biggest changes are to the PPO $850: higher deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums, and more services paid as coinsurance instead of copays. On the CDHPs, Tier 1 office visits and emergency room care cost less. Out-of-pocket maximums on both CDHPs stay the same, and premiums are the same as for the rest of the company.

About the plan names: the Texas plans keep the same names as everyone else’s (CDHP $3,500, CDHP $2,000 and PPO $850), but the Texas deductibles are different from the amounts in the names. Use the figures above.
Tier 1 providers are in the Imagine Health, Partners Direct Health and HealthSmart networks. Tier 2 lets you see any provider, with Dexter’s Price Protection. The Texas Medical Plans page shows 2026 coverage until the new plan year begins.
What Is Not Changing
The three medical plans (CDHP $3,500, CDHP $2,000 and PPO $850) keep the same deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums and networks for National and Indiana employees. Prescription drug coverage through Rightway, dental, vision, life and AD&D, disability and the 401(k) match all carry forward unchanged. Quantum Health remains your first call for health care and benefits questions.
