How to Enroll
Enrolling in your benefits is how you protect your health and your income — and changes can generally only be made when you are first hired, during annual open enrollment, or if you experience a qualifying life event.
Enrollment is through ADP. You will need social security numbers and dates of birth for any dependents you plan to cover — these are required to complete your enrollment.
When you can enroll
- Within 30 days of your eligibility date
- During the annual open enrollment period
- Within 30 days of a qualifying life event
The choices you make when you first become eligible stay in effect for the remainder of the plan year.
Before you enroll
- Who should I cover? Review coverage options for all dependents who meet eligibility requirements. Proof of eligibility is required for any new dependent.
- How much did I spend on health care last year? Consider past expenses and your current budget.
- Do I need more, or less, coverage? Are you having a baby, considering surgery, or being treated for a chronic condition? Estimate the care you may need.
Step by step
- Log in to ADP.
- Review your mailing address and phone number and update anything that has changed.
- Click Start Enrollment — it may appear in a pop-up, or under the My Benefits menu.
- Review your coverage options and follow the prompts to elect or waive coverage.
- Review dependents and beneficiaries under Manage Dependents.
- Confirm your choices reflect the coverage you want.
- Submit your elections by clicking Yes. A confirmation message appears.
- Print or save a record of your enrollment.
Making changes during the year
You may not make changes to your benefits until the next open enrollment period, unless you experience a mid-year Qualifying Life Event.
