Retirement 401(k)

401(k) Savings Plan

Dexter offers a 401(k) Savings Plan through Schwab. A 401(k) plan is a retirement savings account that allows employees to save and invest a portion of their paycheck before taxes are taken out. Contributions are automatically deducted from your salary and placed into your 401(k) account, where the money can grow over time through investments in mutual funds, stocks, and bonds.

401(k) Benefits

What is a 401(k)?

A 401(k) is a retirement savings plan that provides an easy, tax-advantaged way to save for your future financial needs.

How does it work?

You invest a percentage of your pay into the plan each pay period (which comes straight out of your paycheck), and Dexter matches your contributions, dollar-for-dollar, up to a maximum of 4%.

You mean Dexter gives me free money, just like with the HSA?

Yes, that is exactly what we mean. This is just another way we continue to invest in our people.

How do I enroll?

To enroll, visit www.workplace.schwab.com or call 800-724-7526. Don't forget to name a retirement plan beneficiary!

Remember to name your retirement beneficiary!

Where will your assets go in the future? Exactly where you want them to. If your loved ones don't know your wishes, they can't follow them. Naming a beneficiary for your Dexter 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan can make things a bit easier for them by providing clarity about your intentions. Since you don't have one on file, take a moment now to name one or more beneficiaries and make plans to review your choice each year or whenever there's a major change in your life.

You can easily name a beneficiary by calling Participant Services, using the Schwab Workplace Retirement App or accessing your account online.
